VDCP logs in Venice

Robert Leong -

VDCP messages are collected in the AvusLogs.

The paths to the AvusLogs could vary, to find it on a particular Venice use the updatedb and locate AvusLogs to find the specific paths.

Logs are stored in directories based on channel numbers, channel 1 will be in AvusLog1, channel 2 will be in AvusLog2 and so on.

Example of found paths:

/var/opt/DVS/logwatched/AvusLog1
/var/opt/DVS/logwatched/AvusLog2
/var/opt/DVS/logwatched/AvusLog3
/var/opt/DVS/logwatched/AvusLog4

Then use tail -f and grep combo to view the VDCP messages.

Example:

# tail -f /var/opt/DVS/logwatched/AvusLog1/AvusLog1_2017-07-11__15-39-17.txt | grep ":VDCP:"
