Mephisto could be giving you a false error if the path is not selected to a StorNext volume.
Make sure you select a path that is a StorNext volume, then click Scan. If Mephisto is properly licensed the scan will start without error.
If you point to a non StorNext path, the Scan will report a license error. The error is a bit misleading.
