StorNext Meta Data Server sluggishness

• Slow in booting, fsmpm starts takes a long time (many .......)
• cvadmin slow to start up
• cvadmin slow to list (select)

Check

• /etc/resolve.conf and /etc/hosts of any 'dead end' IP entries
• /usr/cvfs/config/fsnameserver of improper entries
• any ethernet ports that is assigned but not physically connected, change noboot to no in ifcfg-eth?
