Clipster Gen 5 hangs on Windows splash screen

Symptoms:

Clipster hangs / freezes on boot at Windows 7 flash screen, sometime there is no hangs and boots normally.

Scope:

Clipster generation 5 with Adaptec RAID controllers.

Clipster generation 5 starts with serial number 149 or 150, it uses SuperMicro motherboard X9DRH-ITF, problem might be limited to version 1.02.  The version number is printed on the motherboard below the X9DRH-ITF marking. 

Intel network driver version that could be problematic is 2.11.114.0 dated 3/30/2012

Solution:

Update the network driver.  If boot hangs consistently, remove the Adaptec RAID cards, boot into Windows, update network driver.

Intel Ethernet Controller X540-AT2.  Driver date 4/17/2013, Driver Version: 3.4.47.0
