Hi Rob,

for the reported issue we need an advanced logging. One part of each
VENICE-RPM is the logwatch service. The logwatch service collect the
logging informations from each avus channel, spyceragent and the
VENICE-GUI.
How to enable logwatch:
1) edit /etc/init.d/venice
2) change LOGWATCHAUTOSTART="0" to LOGWATCHAUTOSTART="1"
3) save
4) restart the venice service on the commandline: /etc/init.d/venice restart

The default setting is 20 logfiles each 100MByte of each avus channel,
spyceragent and the VENICE-GUI.
You find the logfiles in /home/venice/.DVS/logwatched/ (factory defaults) or
in /var/opt/DVS/logwatched.

If the system is in permanent operation you have nearly 24 hours to copy
the files to a different place before logwatch will delete the oldest one.
If you have any problems send me an email or give me a call.

Regards
Matthias
