SNO drive replacement using IBM GUI

Scope

For SpycerNodes SNO2U and SNO5U.

Replacing defective disk drive with same exact model.

Condition

A failed disk drive is reported as seen by mmhealth node show:

Procedure

Replace the drive per this instruction (for SNO5U):

After the physical drive replacement, launch the IBM GUI and initiate the fix procedure:

From the Home page, click on the orange value which represents the failed disk:

Highlight the entry of the unhealthy pdisk list, right click and select Replace Disk:

Click Next, disregard the "Do not replace the disk yet!" statement:

Click Next, disregard the "Do not replace the disk yet!" statement:

Select "The disk has been replaced." > Finish:

It will take a couple of minutes but you will get this confirmation:

Confirmation

Rebuild in-progress, health status will be updated within a couple of minutes:

The GUI will update and show no faulty disks, GUI update is a little laggy, takes about 30 minutes:
